  How much does it cost to take drivers education at First Class Driving and Safety?
      $375.00
 
 
What days are classes held? 
                Classes are offered on two (2) consecutive weekends each month, and on four (4) consecutive days during school holidays.
 
 
At what age can I start taking Driver's education?
          A student can begin the classroom portion of the course at age 14 years and 9 months but must be in high school. According to Louisiana Law established under R.S. 32:407, a minor 15 or 16 years of age may be issued a Class E Learners Permit after successful completion of an approved driver education course approved by the Department of Education or the Department of Public Safety consisting of a minimum of 30 hours classroom training and 8 hours of on-the-road training.   After completing the Learners Permit stage (minimum of 180 days), upon reaching at least 16 years of age, and upon successfully passing the on-the-road driving test the minor may be issued a Class E Intermediate License. 
 
 
 
What do I need to bring with me to Drivers Ed classes?
              We will need a birth certificate to verify name and date of birth, your child's TIP card and your ID also.  Only domiciliary parents may register a student for Drivers Education in Louisiana so please provide court documentation of custody status. 
 
 
 
 What do I need to bring with me to the DMV?
              Original Documents Required
Birth Certificate
     Social Security Card
        School Enrollment Form
             Drivers Ed Packet (Completion Certificate & Written Test)
      Legal Guardian/Parent (Domiliciary Parent must show court documents)
